Phew…It’s hard to find infographics with content specific to our South African context. Here’s one by market research companies World Wide Worx and Fuseware, illustrating the profiles of social media users in South Africa.

This infographic is based on research conducted in late 2012 and although fluctuations in the stats are to be expected, it’s still one of the only reports focusing on the use of social media in South Africa and contains very useful information.

Female audiences are driving the growth of Pinterest.

  • Pinterest is a rapidly growing social network in South Africa and is proving to be one of the most effective networks for converting viewers into customers.
